WHAT YOU'LL DO

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing custom software solutions within the Legal Product Portfolio and supporting ongoing operational product activities. The candidate will be working in an Agile squad environment and will be a hands-on contributor to all aspects of the product delivery cycle. As a key technical resource, the candidate will work closely with other groups in building new functionality, assisting with architectural designs, helping to define user stories within the sprint, and partnering with members of the functional team and product analysts to confirm business requirements. The candidate will provide technical hands-on expertise as part of the software engineering squad and support all other related tasks, such as: 

• Support the adoption of software development best practices including DevSecOps, source code / version control, enterprise change management, unit & functional testing, source code documentation, logging and debugging, monitoring, etc. 
• Lead development efforts, including new functionality or customization of existing applications. 
• Define optimal solution design for a given user story. Identify complexity and level of effort. 
• Write concise and clear Technical Systems Design documents, based on analysis of business requirements.

• 7-9 years of experience building custom software solutions 
• Full Stack development skills with expertise in the Microsoft development stack (ASP.NET/MVC, C#, .NET Core) 
• Strong knowledge of Web tools, technologies and protocols, with experience developing standards-compliant sites using React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, XML and related technologies and frameworks 
• Proficiency in speaking, writing, reading, and presenting in English is required. 
• Experience in cloud-based development environments (Azure/AWS) and an understanding of Docker/Kubernetes 
• Experience with source control systems such as Git 
• Experience with Database design 
• Experience building secure modern application with modern architectures 
• Strong technical competence, with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies
