Ring is looking to hire an insightful, results-oriented and well-written QA Tester to join the team. The person will play a key role in generating and driving analysis for go to market decisions for new Ring products.

Ring is looking for an Individual Contributor who can ensure and maintain a high bar. The ideal candidate will bring innovation, a strategic perspective and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast-moving set of priorities, competitive pressures, and operational initiatives. You will partner closely with program, product and technology teams across Ring to define and build innovative and delightful experiences for our customers. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively and independently in a matrix organization, and have the ability to break complex problems down into steps that drive product development at Amazon speed.

This role will be working in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You must be flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks and technologies. Key job responsibilities

User Acceptance Testing as a function is meant to assess whether or not a product is meeting both business requirements and end-user needs. As a QA Analyst working in the UAT team you will need to intuitively test Hardware and Software products manually to understand performance and the user experience.

You will be responsible for taking your findings and create reports that will be reviewed by stakeholders and leadership. Converting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable reports.

Through your work in the UAT team you will thorough research our portfolio of Ring products.

You will heavily interact with internal stakeholders to dive deep on upcoming products and produce insights that will improve our products.

You will have to exhibit thoughtful decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources, compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

About the team

The Ring Insights organization, founded in 2017 is a growing group of customer obsessed individuals. Our work and workstreams center around identifying customer needs and advocating for them. We do this through Trials (Alpha / Beta Testing), UX Research, User Acceptance Testing. Our team functions are built to assess a product or experience with a 360 degree perspective, ensuring we are meeting our customers needs through leveraging research and data.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance.
  • Experience in manual testing.
  • Experience with Jira & Confluence.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
  • Knowledge of a spectrum of technical platforms and tools, (iOS, Android, Mac, PC, etc).
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions,
  • Experience working with diversified stakeholders including Program Managers, QAEs, TPMs, Developers, Operations and leadership.
  • Ability to be flexible and self-govern multiple projects and effectively report on each.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience testing doorbells or other technology is considered a plus.
  • Experience with project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience with presenting data backed findings to leadership.
