Sigma is hiring a Head of Snowflake Product Marketing The successful candidate for this role will own the Snowflake relationship from a marketing perspective and work closely with our business development team to grow and enhance the partnership. This role requires a unique blend of skills - from building relationships, to innovating new ideas for joint go-to-market strategies, to jointly developing, executing, and achieving mutual business goals. This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing as an IC and, in the future, would report to a global partner marketing leader. 

Skills desired: 

  • Strategic planning: Developing medium- and long-term plans jointly with BD for our Snowflake partnership. This person will understand the technology roadmap of both companies and be able to articulate ajoint value proposition and GTM strategy. 
  • Evangelism: Be able to give live demos, speak at tech conferences at break-out sessions, and write thought leadership blog posts
  • Subject matter expertise: Deep understanding of the underlying technologies and ability to write informed content pieces for publication on trends and technical subjects related to our companies. Candidates must provide writing samples as part of the interview process. 
  • Collaboration and teamwork: A solid team player who defaults to yes and helps drive other team members to achieve stretch goals. 
  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, partner performance, and campaign effectiveness, including the ability to use data to inform decisions and measure the success of partnership initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the annual joint partner marketing plan with Snowflake - including development, executive buy-in, execution, quarterly revisions, and ongoing measurement of success.
  • Author marketing materials designed for partners, including one-pagers, solution briefs, conference/event presentations, and co-branded sales and website collateral. 
  • Act as the conduit between Sigma's product marketing to Snowflake's product marketing to ensure launches and roadmaps are aligned and our participation in key developments in their roadmap dovetail and amplify our joint opportunities. 
  • Lead new joint product releases with Snowflake, including collateral development, communication strategy, co-marketing deliverables, training tools, and more. 
  • Create and maintain a partner marketing calendar aligned to Sigma and partner monthly, quarterly, and annual initiatives, conferences, and significant events. Some of these activities can be delegated to contractors and junior marketing associates but overseen and owned by this role. 
  • Manage cooperative marketing programs and funds with channel partners - the SI content incentive program. 
  • Lead strategic projects critical to the partnership’s success, such as co-developed product launches or major co-marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to align partnership activities with Sigma’s sales, product development, and customer success strategies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach and abilities 
  • SF-based - 4 days a week in the office to be close to current and future GTM leaders
  • BA/BS or Bachelor’s degree equivalent
  • Travel frequently to events and partner meetings
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in technical partner marketing and experience with Snowflake, specifically 
  • Strong auto-pilot and ability to function autonomously and make good decisions
  • Track record of innovation
  • Excellent ability to drive consensus and get to a "yes." 
  • Excellent writer and speaker on Snowflake-related topics

Additional Job details

The base salary range for this position is between $190k and $220K annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that compensates and recognizes employees for their work at Sigma Computing. This role is eligible for stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.
