Job Summary Job Summary Primary Function: Under the supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist, the Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides services to students with disabilities in accordance with IEP goals; assists in case management of services to students; maintains records and documentation. The SLPA focuses on developing students’ oral communication skills to support their ability to access their educational program. Requirements / Qualifications Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an institution listed in the Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education handbook and completion of 100 hours of fieldwork or clinical experience from a Board-approved program

Comments and Other Information Larchmont is a constructivist school. Constructivism is a theory of learning which holds that each of us has a unique schema of the world based on our lived experience and that by interacting with our environment we make connections to what we already know and construct new meaning.
