Description

Are you a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer professional with a passion for overseeing testing projects and ensuring top-notch product quality? We're seeking a motivated Manager QA to lead our testing efforts, streamline processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. What Will You Be Doing?

  • Oversee testing projects, to ensure teams meet timeframes and objectives.
  • Ensure the implementation of strategies to advance development items through the project delivery cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with change processes required by regulatory entities, providing documented evidence of testing and results.
  • Responsible for overseeing development, implementation, and execution of quality and test automation plans for Company products.
  • Ensure the optimal use of automation to focus on reducing regression times and escaped defects.
  • Review test plans to ensure appropriate test coverage, execution, resourcing, and timing.
  • Review and approve testing, ensuring products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Make organizational and operational changes to overcome systemic challenges exposed by root cause analysis.
  • Review testing reporting results to ensure outputs falls in line with established standards.
  • Responsible for defining, standardizing, and applying quality strategy for product roadmaps, maintaining a flexible testing strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring all escalated risks and issues are resolved and results presented to appropriate stakeholder groups.
  • Leverage continuous integration best practices for automated testing at the time of each software build.
  • Responsible for ensuring development and execution of product and process training.
  • Responsible for mentoring team members, including providing support, guidance, and feedback.
  • Manage metric and performance testing and test automation, ensuring products align with quality standards, conform to regulatory requirements, and meet production deadlines.
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams in executing the product quality vision.
  • Responsible for timely completion of agreed upon testing commitments, comprehensive bug tracking, and reporting.
  • Regularly directs the work and manages the personnel issues of direct report employees, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating staff, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field required.
  • 6-8 years' experience in a quality assurance or software development role; industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience assessing, implementing, and training on quality management tools.
  • Strong ability to understand, evaluate, define, and drive build and release processes.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams in the development of test cases and test suites and ensure alignment to requirements and
  • specifications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of software development practices.
  • Proven ability to identify roadblocks and risks and implement solutions.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze and associate risks in software defects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Company product lines, industry best practices, and the competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate accurate and timely status reports and testing results across disciplines and to upper management.
  • Experience overseeing automated testing processes.
  • Knowledge of testing disciplines and activities required to execute a best-in-class testing function.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate business objectives into technical requirements and yield measurable outcomes.
  • Experience managing, leading, and mentoring diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced ability to lead and organize teams through troubleshooting and debugging sessions across complex multi-system / server / external environments.
  • Experience with software testing and project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of black/white box testing of software systems across multiple deployment types.

The compensation for this role considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled. At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ 102,000- $110,000 annually.
