As the Director of Enterprise Data Management and Analytics, you will spearhead our efforts in managing, analyzing and operationalizing vast amounts of data. You will lead the organization in collecting, managing, governing, and safeguarding data, while also crafting strategies for insightful data analysis that underpins critical business decisions. Responsibilities

  • Strategic Data Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data management and analytics strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and delivers real-world impact
  • Data Governance: Oversee data modeling, master data management, data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, and security, planning for data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Data Lifecycle Management: Manage the full spectrum of data lifecycle activities, ensuring optimal data quality, storage, and utilization aligned with strategic goals.
  • Data Architecture: Oversee design and refine the organizational data framework, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient data structures and integrations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and assess data-related risks.
  • Technology and Vendor Management: Evaluate and implement data management and analytics tools and technologies to optimize data processing and analysis. Manage relationships, engagements, contracts, and agreements with external vendors that provide technology solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and ensure that the data strategy supports these requirements, serving as the key liaison of the data function to the broader organization
  • Change Management: Lead and facilitate the implementation of data-related changes, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Data Operations: Oversee the design and management of robust data operations (DataOps) processes, ensuring the efficient and effective flow of data throughout the organization. This includes automating data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity, and aligning data workflows with business objectives for maximized operational efficiency and data-informed decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive the adoption of technologies and methodologies in data management, ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of CI and innovation.
  • Cost Management: Optimizing investments while ensuring scalability and agility in data storage and operations.
  • Training and Development: Empowering all organizational levels with the knowledge and skills to interpret and leverage data effectively.
  • Team Management: Lead, develop, and build a team of data professionals, including data analysts, data engineers, and database managers to shape the next generation of data capabilities within the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data management and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in data governance, data quality, data modeling and data operations.
  • Good understanding of data fabric architecture and data mesh principles.
  • Experience with big data technologies, data analysis, business intelligence tools and machine learning is a plus.
  • Experience with leading a team in an Agile environment, preferably with exposure to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
