Tasks

  • Provide effective Technical Support on Sartorius BPS Products ensuring that Service levels are met for Field Engineer teams.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer from Central Technical Support to the Regional Technical Support team through formal and informal training.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer from Regional Technical Support to the Field Engineering teams through formal and informal training
  • Provide second line on-site assistance for installation or service work where required, ensuring every onsite visit is used as a teaching/learning exercise.
  • Manage all escalations from the Field Engineering teams through to timely resolution, utilizing and managing Central Technical Support teams where required
  • Participate in meetings between customers and field service teams as an Automation Technical Support as required.
  • Ensure correct and up to date documentation is available and distributed for all supported products.
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with manufacturing, engineering, and project teams, feeding back ideas for product improvement.
  • Respond to automated requests from field service teams and customers (online support is preferred, the travel rate is around 40%).
  • Maintain and Provide Technical Service cases reports as requested.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with internal processes and local Health and Safety regulations.

What will convince us

  • Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation or relevant background
  • Minimum 5-9 years of experience as Automation Engineer.
  • Good knowledge of automation systems, especially PLC/SCADA/Siemens S7/Tia Portal/WinCC/iFIX systems/Emerson and industrial networks and fieldbus systems
  • PC networking, TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain configuration
  • SQL databases, (SYBASE, SQLSERVER)
  • Some database administration skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Emerson, AB).
  • Experience of Handling Chromatography Products will add values.

  • Excellent Oral & Written communication Skills in English would be an asset.
  • Able to handle multi-tasks and possess problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven, good team player with good work attitude and proactive
  • Willing to provide Technical Support on different Sartorius Products to APAC Engineer
  • Willingness to travel in APAC approx. 40 %
