We are looking for a Mainframe DB2 System Programmer to join our organization.
What will you be doing:
- Install, configure and upgrade DB2 database software;
- Assist with testing, implementation and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades;
- Build policies, standards and procedures for the Database system support and usage;
- Supervise and maintain database systems to ensure efficient performance and availability;
- Perform routine backups and recovery procedures;
- Conduct regular performance analysis and tuning to optimize query performance;
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks;
- Collaborate with application developers to craft and implement efficient database schemas;
- Maintain data dictionaries and documentation;
- Implement and maintain database high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, replication).
Requirements:
Professional Skills:
- Experience as a DB2 for z/OS System Programmer or in a similar role;
- Understanding of DB2 for z/OS database management and administration, DB2 Recovery scenarios;
- Familiarity with database security standard processes.

- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Proficient English – level B2 or above;
- Excellent and effective communication skills with management;
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-national and virtual environments.
