JOB SUMMARY

This senior financial analyst position will have a variety of responsibilities that include assisting with financial forecasting and budgeting processes, performing detailed analyses around product line and business unit (BU) performance, developing standard reporting and procedures, and presenting key findings to senior leadership. The individual in this role should have a strong background in both finance and accounting, and it is highly preferred that they have a strong working knowledge of the industrial manufacturing space and our internal financial systems and processes.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows to provide business insights and trends
  • Own monthly and quarterly forecasts, along with Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Oversee monthly close process for BU ensuring actual results are timely and accurate, corresponding with relevant team members as needed
  • Own the updating of standard Monthly Financial Review, Monthly Business Review, Major Initiatives, and Executive Review reporting packages each month
  • Perform variance analysis for the BU, by product line, by factory, and other cuts of the business
  • Support BU team with detailed analyses on product line trends and performance
  • Collaborate with and support factory leadership team with reporting and strategic project needs
  • Partner with BU functional leaders on key priorities, including Commercial, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT
  • Develop and automate new standardized reporting for key financial metrics and other management reporting needs
  • Assist with key discrete strategic projects, presenting progress and key achievements to senior leadership teams
  • Analyze and interpret product line profitability, including pricing, cost of sales, SG&A, and other key financial performance indicators
  • Review capital expenditure requests from the business and recommend capital deployment decisions based on ROIC and timeline to value creation
  • Build and maintain financial models to identify and quantify the impact of macroeconomic drivers of our product lines
  • Support the development and rollout of annual functional level budgets
  • Evaluate current processes and continuously improve efficiency/ productivity through automation and other process improvements
  • Leverage 80/20 principles to help identify key opportunities for long-term strategic growth and profitability in various product groups

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly collect, organize, analyze, and understand information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in working with large data sets and/or databases to perform analysis and create visual data
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or knowledge of manufacturing concepts and processes
  • Ability to multitask and learn independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Understanding of accounting systems, processes, procedures, and internal controls
  • Proficiency in the following systems:
  • OneStream
  • Microsoft Office
  • SAP
  • SAP Business Warehouse
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • SQL (preferred)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting

Use of the appropriate PPE is required.

This job operates in a manufacturing professional office environment. The employee can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and loud noise level while on the production floor.
