Job Title: Senior Application Developer I

Reports To: VP, IT

FLSA Status: Full Time - Salaried, Exempt

Location: Cincinnati, OH; Hybrid schedule

Summary of Position: 

The Senior Application Developer I position is responsible for driving program enhancements and bug fixes for pep’s internal business systems, to ensure successful promotion execution. 

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Key Responsibilities and Attributes of Senior Application Developer I:

  • Gathering business requirements and translating them into technology terms.
  • Develop algorithms and programming code for software solutions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain good coding practices
  • Great understanding of software design and programming principles
  • Provide understanding and guidance on future development initiatives
  • Provide leadership on technology issues
  • Design, build, test and implement the software code required by pep
  • Design the logic that delivers the requested functionality
  • Provide avenue for future enhancements
  • software development experience
  • C#.NET 
  • ASP.NET MVC
  • MS Transact-SQL & SQL Server 
  • AJAX, JQuery, Javascript
  • Telerik Toolset helpful
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Knowledge/Skills Preferred of Senior Application Developer I:

  • Minimum 5+ years previous information technology and applications experience.
  • Degree in information technology or equivalent education/experience.
  • Demonstrated communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals as well as operate internal, online systems
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to be client facing 
  • Ability to mentor, grow and work harmoniously as part of a larger team
  • Ability to do intermediate-level math (calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages)
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Effectively utilizes staff including delegating as appropriate
  • Ability to manage healthy business processes
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
