Frontend Developer

The Role

Our Developers know their stuff – they're busy working autonomously and setting high standards. That's why we're gearing them up towards a seamless role evolution. 

As a Frontend Developer you are part of a Software development team and you'll analyze requirements provided by the team's Product Owner, design and develop technical solutions or processes, do unit testing, maintain and improve production code, contribute to the performance improvement work, keep the projects technical documentation up to date, while minimizing manual processes and providing automated solutions. 

Reporting to a Delivery Manager in a Blip team formed by 4 to 5 Developers and 1 QA, you will use technology as a basis to deliver amazing value to our customers, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.

What You'll be Doing

  • Develop software as part of an agile team with short iterations and frequent releases. 
  • Contribute to planning and the subsequent development of applications. 
  • Remain up to date in terms of current and future needed upgrades. 

To become one of us you should have

  • Awareness or has previous experience in using agile methodologies. 
  • Consolidated professional experience building high quality, performant JavaScript applications. 
  • Consolidated experience in JavaScript frameworks/libraries, such as AngularJS or ReactJS
  • Experience with JavaScript test tools (e.g. Mocha, Jasmine, Jest, Protactor, Selenium, etc); 
  • Knowledge on Packaging/build tools (e.g. NPM, Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, etc) and server-side Javascript (NodeJS);
  • Experienced with Automated testing and mocking techniques. 
  • Experience in writing Clean code. 
  • Experience of using established design patterns. 
  • Passion about building a great consumer product that our customers will love. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Capability of interacting effectively with other functional teams. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Proactiveness and being able to coach and mentor their colleagues.
  • Flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and rapid change.
