Purpose of the role

We are seeking a skilled Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our team in Europe. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with open-source IAM software, such as FreeIPA, Keycloak, and MidPoint, and possess a deep understanding of identity management, access control, and authentication technologies.

You will play an important role in designing, implementing, integrating and maintaining our identity and access management solution.

What you will do:

  • System Design, Integration and Implementation
  • Design, implement and maintain our IAM Solution 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the IAM solution into the existing infrastructure and applications
  • User Lifecycle Management
  • Develop, implement and maintain processes for user provisioning, de-provisioning, and account lifecycle management
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding procedures
  • Access Control and Authentication
  • Configure and manage access controls, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms
  • Identity Governance
  • Implement and manage identity governance processes to ensure proper management of user access rights and entitlements
  • Develop and enforce policies for identity and access management in alignment with organisational goals and compliance requirements
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments
  • Support any other IAM services projects

Job requirements:

  • Proven experience as an IAM Engineer, preferably with a focus on open-source solutions
  • Strong understanding of identity management, access control, and authentication protocols
  • Deep understanding with LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OIDC and other relevant IAM protocols and standards
  • Knowledge of managing systems and applications self-hosted solutions
  • Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks
  • Ability to keep up in an extremely fast-paced environment and and take on-call's
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Bonus point for:

  • Proficiency in implementing and managing midPoint
  • Certifications in IAM-related technologies (eg: CIDPRO certification)
  • Experience with at least one configuration management and automation tool (such as Puppet, Ansible)
  • Worked with production IAM systems
