Job Description

Developing tailor made OE tires for Volvo, Land Rover and Ford is what you are looking for? Then join our passionate and dedicated development team in Hanover and work with teammates located in Sweden, UK, Slovakia and Germany.

You will deal with latest tire technologies and state-of-the-art tire development methods to achieve the target approvals for upcoming OE vehicles. Your contribution starts with OE vehicle requirement book assessment and covers the full product life cycle until end of production. You drive an efficient development process with focus on virtual development tools as well as support in building up a viable partnership with the OEMs.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Product development cycle including design of development strategy, organizing test tire building, managing test tire evaluation while considering OE customer as well as internal expectations
• Apply and customize state-of-the-art virtual development tools as e.g. Magic Formula, Driving simulator for tire performance simulation and evaluation
• Implementation of OE customer approved tire specifications into serial production and monitoring
• Lead tire development projects meeting OE customer requirements as well as internal development standards
• Support Automotive Engineers with advanced technical expertise in front of the OE customers

Qualifications

• Academic degree (University of Applied Science or higher) in engineering, automotive engineering, natural sciences or similar disciplines
• Experience in tire development - preferably OE
• Very good experience in project management - preferably tire development projects
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) 
• Very good communication skills
• Willingness to act and to take over responsibility
• Structured, fact driven, transparent and ‘embracing’ work style
• Committed team player with inspiring can-do-mentality
