With due recognition of the Novo Nordisk vision, values and policies and in accordance with Novo Nordisk Philippines‘s strategies and business objectives, the person in this position is expected to hold the responsibility of developing and implementing local sales and marketing strategies, tactics and policies for Obesity therpeutic areas. 

The purpose of the this role is to lead the development and implementation of the local Obesity strategy by creating awareness of Novo Nordisk in and amongst the Obesity Market, establish the foundation of disease understanding for future growth. This role will also be responsible for coordinating with the Southeast Asia Commercial Affairs and Strategy team as well as working on a cross functional basis at a local level ensuring that all stakeholder/customer needs and perspectives are considered, ensuring that local plans & tactics are prioritised based on largest potential and highest rate of return/investment.

Sales Achievement & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop & Implement both strategic and tactical local plans (mapping buying process, market segmentation, competitor analysis, market modelling, scenario + contingency planning as well as Investigate private market opportunities) in alignment with Global and Regional directions
  • Deliver both Sales & Marketing objectives as agreed in AB (Sales & Market Share)
  • Gain customer insight and internal feedback
  • Ensure execution and management of marketing plans, projects and tactics.
  • Monitor, review and reporting on marketing activity and results
  • Ensure input to and influencing of global and regional marketing during the positioning of key messages and campaign development
  • Represent Affiliate at BASEA and Global meetings and taskforces
  • Communicate brand strategy, positioning and key messages and their rationale to the organisation
  • Ensuring effective opinion leader and key stakeholder management and development in collaboration with Medical and other cross-functional colleagues
  • Develop national business plan to identify and leverage relationships with KOL’s
  • Develop networks and healthcare partnerships with key influencers and customers
  • Driving positive brand image to ensure engaging internal and external communications (media & PR plans) and professional management of issues
  • Supporting on market access evaluation and planning
  • Manage National Obesity marketing and field sales teams
  • Manage cross-functional launch team, develop & realise implementation of pre-launch & launch plans, including issue management plan
  • Monitor pre-and post-launch performance
  • Develop Field Force training brand strategy, positioning, focus, key messages and market dynamics Lead, manage and develop direct reports through NNWay of Coaching
  • Define Field Force KPI’s to focus team on core Business Processes
  • Sharing best practice and leading other cross-functional or strategic projects as required by the business including providing support and backup for peers
  • Collects, stores & reports data about customers, field activities including competitor activities
  • Monitors sales performance data
  • Work according to Business Ethic procedures, local law, NNWay and NN policies and guidelines

P&L and Data Management

  • Accountable for the ongoing management and oversight of portfolio budget to target levels
  • Prepares and monitors Obesity Business Unit budget
  • Collects, stores & reports data about customers, field activities including competitor activities
  • Evaluate appropriate use and allocation of resources to ensure attainment of unit, department and company profitability goals

People Management

  • Lead and manage direct reports including setting annual team objectives and supporting team to meet annual performance objectives; providing on-going coaching, development, and recognition; supporting career development including Talent Review and Succession Planning processes. Collaborates with P&O on the hiring for vacant and/or new positions. Conducts regular performance reviews and provides written and verbal feedback to ensure a productive, professional, high performance and motivated team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in marketing within the ethical pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a people manager role.
  • Deep knowledge of the current pharmaceutical and market situation
  • Portfolio management experience
  • Knowledge on relevant marketing tools/MIS/system
