The increasingly volatile and complex environment leads us to elevate our Supply Chain to anticipate risks ahead to better support our markets and business teams. Key responsibilities of the role is to make sure our movement of goods from Europe to markets flow will be stable and also to support the House’s on going ambition toward Net Zero. 

This role serves as the strategic Supply Chain Business Partners for APAC Region on:

  • Freight Management (Multi-modes including Air/Ocean/Rail/Courier/Truck shipments) to support markets and business teams with stable product flows from Europe
  • Key representative in the region to collect and manage Scope 3/ Transportation related Co2 emission on a regular basis with the House reporting time line
  • Manage our Key “Freight” service provider to make sure satisfactory service level
  • Rate Management on freight cost and spending for the APAC Region
  • Explore market trend on “Green Transportation Mode” for freight activities

The impact you can create at CHANEL

Act as a team leader and trusted partner to multiple divisions and markets, the Regional Freight Management Manager APAC role is to ensure our supply chain network is ready to deliver/support our business teams/markets with:

Finished Goods Flows to support different business divisions:

  • Ensure shipment flows are stable for our regular stock replenishment from Global DC/Regional DC on selling items and Non-merchandise/Promotional material
  • Monitor and identify risks related to shipments to achieve a “secured supply chain/product fulfillment flow”
  • Subject mattered expertise on Freight related topics for APAC region and support various markets
  • Day to day operations & trouble shooting key contact to all markets

Trend setter for Green Transport for the region:

  • Explore and keep up with latest trend in the industry for transportation modes with less Co2 impact
  • Launch and carry on Global/Regional projects that brings Scope 3 Co2 saving to the House
  • Participate in new projects/trial for Green Transport related topic

Freight spending Management:

  • Represent APAC region in the Global Freight Committee
  • Work closely with Global Indirect Procurement + Global Divisions teams on Freight cost review/negotiation/freight tender etc
  • Data in-charge/expert for APAC on transportation data on CARGO (Global platform for transportation data and Co2 calculation) or FAP (Freight Audit Platform) 

Business Contingency & Continuity, demonstrate agility and make necessary operations changes in response to any Supply Chain Disruption e.g. Suez Canal Incident, City/Port lockdown to response to disruption and still allow product flows to support product availability

Team leadership & management be responsible to be develop and motivate the APAC supply chain community on freight projects/activities

  • Solid experience on freight management (multi-modes) experience
  • Trusted partnerships with managing multiple markets in Asia Pacific region
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of Chanel FBP operations & Business
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of APAC region supply chain network to provide support and guidance to markets on specific issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build a strong relationships & partnerships with people from different levels in the organization
