Job Summary:

As a member of the healthcare consulting team, an “Associate - Healthcare Consultant” will work in the diverse global healthcare market and actively contribute to consulting assignments with Milliman offices or practices. The environment is fast-paced and innovative. Our team is highly self-directed. The Associate - Healthcare Consultant should be able to collaborate on developing the project plan, design research strategy, summarize key insights, support drafting reports and presentations for consulting projects, and understand Quality Risk Management's responsibility in project monitoring.

The successful candidate should have rich clinical experience, awareness of healthcare shifts and trends happening in US and international markets, a good understanding of medical coding, and excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Roles/Responsibilities:

This professional, an Associate - Healthcare Consultant, will join our team to assist in all clinical product development life cycle phases. We are looking for a person with the ability to:

  • Stay informed about emerging trends, new insurance products, and market developments.
  • Evaluate and define data needs, then encapsulate them within conceptual and logical frameworks.
  • Leverage various data sources (medical claims and electronic health record data, prescription data) within a complex logic system to identify patterns and trends in utilization or cost
  • Understand and address the needs of both internal and external clients. Analyze, investigate, and effectively solve their issues.
  • Potential to be client-facing, including collaboration with our customers and opportunities to present results and demonstrate your expertise.
  • Create reports, blogs, white papers, and presentations for clients through health claims data analytics.
  • Work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
  • Check and review audit charts/ claims/ underwriting files on a given criteria.
  • Train and mentor new staff
  • Support towards new product development or process enhancements

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Competent knowledge of US, Middle East, and other healthcare practices
  • Experience presenting to management-level decision-makers
  • Understanding of medical coding
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS office skills
  • Proficient in SQL/R/Python/Power BI skills
  • Project management
  • Demonstrated professional attributes for Client Focus, Problem Solving and Adaptability

Required Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience of 5 to 8 years
  • MBBS/Registered Nurse/BDS/MDS/B Pharm or M Pharm/MPH
  • Experience in managing health operations with payers, providers, or Government healthcare programs

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trained in Public health/community medicine
  • Medical writing/clinical research experience
  • Claims data analytics experience
  • CPC certification in coding
  • Experience working in US, Middle East, and other healthcare process.
  • Effectively uses enterprise technologies and business processes to manage
