What part will you play?
- Software development in the area of next generation (5G/6G) wireless/mobile network architectures for private industrial networks,
- Software Development and integration in UE, RAN, CN stack layers for end-to-end 5G/6G Applications.
- Research, investigation and implementation of new product features for Siemens’ industrial wireless communication portfolio with a focus on next generation industrial mobile communication
- Plan and execute experimental work, such as lab experiments, field trials, and pilot projects
- Contribute to the software production process; own given features beginning to end, from mockups & design documents/reviews to acceptance testing and deployment.
- Test and validate the proof of concepts together with engineering teams and business partners for the best optimal solutions and configurations
- Be a part of Software development activities including:
- Coding, unit testing and integration
- Participating in review process
- Taking part in the complete product life-cycle
- Produce high quality and innovative deliverables for our customers
- Conform to Siemens processes, quality standards and guidelines
What you need to make real what matters.
- BSc., MSc. or PhD in Computer Science or in related areas
- Very good command of English
- Minimum 2-years experience in designing and/or developing software for telecom industry
- Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art wireless communication technologies
- Good knowledge of 5G communication stack and infrastructure;
- Hands-on programming experience and good knowledge of 5G Protocol Stack; i.e. AMF, SMF, UPF, RLC, MAC, PDCP and UE, RU, DU, CU layers.
- Good knowledge of and experience with Open-Source Software Frameworks for UE, O-RAN and CN components, is preferred.
- Proven experience in C/C++ and Go (nice to have; Python & Java Script programming skills).
- Proven Experience in building container-based solutions using Kubernetes and Docker
- Good knowledge of packet core networks and relevant standardizations (3GPP, ETSI, NGMN, 5G PPP, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of telecom protocols and industrial communication networks
- Willingness to do experimental work and Proof-of-Concept implementation of ideas;
- Creative and innovative mind;
- Passion for technology and applied research;
- Passion for developing simple, clean and attractive code
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
