The next generation of Big Data Platform in Conviva will support a multitude of existing and emerging technologies and enable different use cases. It will build a level of abstraction needed by different product engineering teams to build business functionalities in an extensible fashion without requiring understanding the underlying complexity. We are looking for one Senior Software Engineer role as technical lead on building a platforming service in such a high growth and high scale environment.

What Success Will Look Like:

• Solve cutting-edge Big Data infrastructure problems that empower large & small businesses to reach, engage, and convert customer at scale.
• Design and develop solutions involving large amounts of data, and multiple interconnected data system and DS/ML services.
• Collaborate across multi-regional teams to deliver impacts on Conviva Operational Data Platform (ODP) and products.
• Build scalable, high performance distributed services with foundation and infrastructure partners.

Who You Are & What You've Done: 

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science, or related technical field involving coding (e.g. physics or mathematics, data analysis, machine learning) or equivalent technical experience.
• 3+ years of working experience in software engineering industry.
• Experience in designing and building high performance distributed web service or infrastructure at scale.

Preferred:

• BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 3+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expert level experienced on at least one of main stream programming languages: Java/Scala, Golang, Python, Rust.
• Deep foundation in computer science with a strong understanding in data structures and algorithms.
• Strong role model to lead technical service development towards customer success.
• Experience with main stream big data infrastructure (e.g. Clickhouse, Druid, Presto/Trino, Spark, Flink) is preferred.
• Experience with semantical layer or metrics layer of data platform is preferred.
