Procurement Operations Project Manager

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Procurement Operations Project Manager located in Sugar Land, TX. This role will support ChampionX's operations of Procurement and report directly to the Director of Procurement.

This professional will be supporting the operations of Procurement. We are looking for a business operation project manager as we launch a new array of procurement modules on our internally developed platform. As part of the global Procurement Operations, you will continuously collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to enhance and solve Procure to Pay processes and system issues. As a project manager, you will be responsible for leading project execution of strategic initiatives across the procurement organization in all regions to improve speed, reliability, safety and quality of our data and processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Manages, Optimizes and implements internal business processes.
  • Leads assigned digital procurement projects with accountability to the leadership team. Effectively partners with team members to complete assigned projects
  • Supplier Onboarding and procure to pay processes
  • Vendor Risk Management Modules and ongoing relationships.
  • Other new internal business processes as needed.
  • Program efficiency and effectiveness
  • Recommends and implements new processes for improving day-to-day business operations.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Finance. Or in process of completing an advanced degree
  • 5+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions to transform business processes in consulting, administration, or operations.
  • SAP MM Knowledge
  • Experience with a Source to Pay Platform like COUPA or SAP Ariba is a plus.

Additional Education and Experience:

  • Procurement or Compliance experience
  • Change Management strategy knowledge and experience in supporting transformational business programs
  • Strong and effective communication and leadership skills, demonstrating traits such as persuasiveness, negotiation skills, conflict management and resolution techniques.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to work with good judgement
  • Strong organization, sense of urgency, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven experience leading and steering projects
