Quality Footwear Technician (f/m/d) for Premium Products
YOUR SHOES TO FILL:
- As a Quality Footwear Technician, you will work closely with our specialist team in Paris, France, to ensure production readiness for our Premium Product Collections. You are responsible for managing processes to ensure that developed products meet the required quality standards of the Birkenstock brand.
- You will be in charge of identifying possible production issues during the engineering and commercialization process and providing technical solutions and advice to optimize product setup for mass production and collaborating with production sites to establish product quality standards and effective process control.
- Furthermore, you conduct product risk assessment and product assurance testing to identify and internally communicate potential issues, ensuring they are rectified before the final confirmation sample is signed off.
- In this role, you will provide support to product management and product development teams by identifying and communicating key problem, areas and promoting improved standards.
- In this multifaceted position, you will actively participate in Production Engineering Serial Trials, pre-production trials and production start-up, potentially demonstrating process operation to production staff.
- Last but not least, you establish clear guidelines for box checks and engage production QA support for Premium Product checks.
YOUR WALK OF LIFE:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a shoe factory environment, both Product Development and Quality Technician roles.
- Know-how of resolving issues related to product assurance and quality within multiple own factory location.
- Proficiency and a track record in evaluating large-scale shoe production during both the initial intake and within a manufacturing setting.
- English business fluent; German is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and moderation skills, as well as persuasive power.
- Confidence in working independently and taking ownership of objectives, while being methodical and problem-solving oriented.
- Willingness to travel frequently to the Paris office as well as our Production facilities across Germany
