Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

  • This role is responsible for executing of the European DTC Trading and Cluster strategy for Bricks and Mortar Factory Outlets supporting qualitative, sustainable and profitable growth
  • Key metrics for measuring success outside of financial KPIs are product flow to stores, in store availability/stock quality, on time order creation and weeks cover
  • A key focus of this role is communication, flexibility and problem solving to ensure excellence in execution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end product flow to stores in line with the Product and Trading Guidance and store requirements for specific product category - to ensure that product is in the right place at the right time in the right quantities
  • Execute Service Level Agreement for order entry by DC
  • Adhere to intake plans generated by WSSI Planning to ensure optimal weeks cover management and store stock vs capacity levels (NS, ASP, NQ)
  • Update and review reports on Merchandising product related KPI’s e.g., Tops to bottoms, sock to shoes, division shares. Ensure clear action plans on data reviewed
  • Provide in-depth range and inventory analysis for stores to drive improvements
  • Responsible for final selection, allocation and replenishment of articles for stores based on the Trading Guidance provided by Buying, for assigned product categories
  • Execute inventory allocation and replenishment strategies in partnership with Assortment Planning and Buying teams adhering to Store Segmentation guidance
  • Track full order book and provide visibility to Cluster Merchandising Managers with relevant analysis on risks and opportunities
  • Execute plans from Factory Outlet Excellence team to ensure correct planning of product flow for Marketing campaigns and promotions incl EOSS
  • Manage inventory flow into stores, considering aging, bestsellers and black holes and stock to sales ratios
  • Execute seasonal transitions, based on Transition guidance, and market relevant geographical and climatic conditions
  • Execute DC inventory efficiency strategies to reduce article count and clear pick-faces
  • Provide ad hoc sales analysis to maximize opportunities
  • Input to Senior Trading Manager for sharing with Factory Outlet Excellence on range needs for new stores / remodels.
  • Monitor the Dynamic Buffer Management (DBM) system output against targets and change where required
  • Collaborate closely with Cluster Managers to maximize range localization as relevant

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate skills in MS Office
  • Good Microstrategy skills
  • Fluent in English (Additional language is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of retail management systems of advantage
  • Good analytical skills & commercial skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Structured, organized and process-orientated
  • Very good knowledge of detail but ability to derive end-to-end picture
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or Finance, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus or equivalent professional experience. Retail experience beneficial
  • Theoretical understanding of functional area
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in job or job function
