Overview

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to fill the role of Pool and Beach Attendant. This position requires attentiveness to guests' needs at both the pool and beach facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. The successful candidate will handle tasks such as providing towels, assisting with seating arrangements, managing equipment loans/rentals, and maintaining cleanliness in adherence to hotel standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and assist guests at both the pool and beach areas with courtesy and efficiency.
2. Set up and arrange pool and beach furniture, including umbrellas and loungers.
3. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of supplies, equipment, and work areas.
4. Enforce safety rules and protocols for both pool and beach activities.
5. Welcome guests, provide towels, shade, refreshments, and attend to their specific requests.
6. Clear used towels, glasses, and trash from the pool and beach areas.
7. Monitor guest activity to ensure safety and address any concerns promptly.
8. Report damages, incidents, or issues to the supervisor for resolution.
9. Perform physical tasks, including transporting and handling equipment and supplies.
10. Work in an outdoor environment with exposure to sun, high temperatures, wind, and ocean conditions.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
2. Legible communication skills.
3. CPR certification preferred but not required.
4. Previous experience in a similar position.
5. Understanding of guests' service needs.
6. Attention to detail in performing job functions.
7. Physical ability to handle outdoor work conditions and transport/handle equipment.
8. Endurance for abundant physical movements throughout work areas.

Beach and Pool Attendant Requirements:

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2. At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry.
3. Recent First Aid and CPR certification.
4. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
5. Physical fitness, good swimming abilities, and capability for physical labor in various weather conditions.
6. Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment.
7. Good time management and organizational skills.
8. Knowledge of pool equipment and safety measures.
9. Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
10. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and after hours.
