Job Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for executing all logistics activity for a given perimeter so CHEP provides a constant and efficient supply of equipment to its customers (Retailers and Manufacturers) at the right time, in the right manner and at the cheapest cost to serve to deliver high customer satisfaction, and at the cheapest cost to serve to deliver high customer satisfaction.

Major/Key Accountabilities:

  • Daily Management of order processing by using TMS software & SAP.
  • On-Time Performance to Customers and transport quality tracking and monitoring.
  • Logistics Support for CHEP & External Managed Service Customers.
  • Dedicated fleet management. Route Management.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, project, and timeliness targets.
  • Contact with local customers and third-party providers (Service Centres, D locations, PT Call centres) to deliver CHEP orders. Optimize daily transport planning and execution most efficiently (on time & cost-efficient) for customers and stakeholders.
  • Meet on-time delivery (OTD) requirements and follow up on discrepancies with suppliers and Customer Service.
  • Maintain proper and accurate Pre-Shipment and Post-shipment Administration.
  • Track and Trace: Supervise, plan, and monitor logistics transportation activities including, but not limited to, relocations, issues, collections, customs, and cross-border trips.
  • Proof of Delivery
  • Over, short, and damaged shipment issues.
  • Evaluates, records, and responds to additional/special service requests (i.e. liftgate, inside delivery, etc.).
  • Work with transportation providers and freight payment team to ensure proper accessorial cost and flows.
  • Handle damage and loss claims.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
  • Respond to any issues or complaints from customers, sales, and asset management
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure that logistics operations comply with laws, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Track the plans/goals to reduce carbon emissions associated with storage or transport activities.
  • Participate in improvement projects (in the country and across the organization) and actions to drive Supply Chain efficiencies

Experience:

  • Logistics execution expertise
  • Supply Chain background an advantage
  • Experience in an office environment with frequent customer and provider contacts (emails, calls)
  • Experience in an environment with urgent requests and comfortable to manage those urgencies
  • 2-4 years of experience in related field

Skills and Knowledge:

  • SAP and Transport Management system
  • Able to relate to customers, transporters, team members and other CHEP departments appropriately and switch easily between them.
  • In-depth knowledge of the logistics industry
  • Quantitative ability
  • Good attention to detail
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.

Preferred Education

Bachelors - Industrial Engineering, Bachelors - Supply Chain Management

Preferred Level of Work Experience

1 - 3 yearsHybrid Remote
