As our next Sales Account Manager, you will be joining the Diagnostics & Genomics Group (DGG) within Agilent and developing the activity with both existing and new clients in the public & private sector (private laboratories, hospitals, universities…) in the North-West of Italy. You will work on a wide portfolio of DGG products including healthcare diagnostics and clinical solutions, NGS products, molecular biology solutions, bio-reagents, software

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generating existing and/or new sales for assigned across different accounts & industry on your designated territory
  • Acting to understand customer needs and identifying solutions to non-standard tasks/queries to creates business opportunities
  • Identifying & recruiting strategic partners to embed and/or resell company products
  • Promoting and selling products and/or solutions to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions
  • Creating monitors and revising lead generation plans.
  • Developing accounts and maintaining positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers
  • Determining and developing approaches to sales assignments to achieve quota/ strategies
  • Leading projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations

This role won’t be head-office based and you will working remotely combined with travel to customer sites in the North-West of Italy, and especially in Piemonte (a company car will be available to you).

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:

  • University Degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology…) 
  • Significant experience in sales with diagnostics, genomics, medical and/or clinical solutions
  • Experience working with immunohistochemistry, histochemistry, NGS, microarray based solutions is a strong advantage
  • Full fluency in Italian and at least a good level in English

On a personal level, you are autonomous, outgoing and customer focused. You also have excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills to interact with many external and internal partners. You show a real can-do attitude, resilience and you like to help others. Whilst being flexible and adaptable, you have also strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
