Title: Automation Engineer - QA
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer/ Software Engineer in Test to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Python, a strong interest in automation, and familiarity with testing frameworks such as Pytest.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, contribute to automation efforts, and help ensure the reliability and performance of our Scanner Appliance platform and supporting backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal engineering teams to understand requirements and contribute to quality efforts throughout the development lifecycle.
- Write, maintain, and execute automated tests using Python and Pytest.
- Participate in the design and implementation of automated test frameworks.
- Assist in performance and functional testing of applications and platforms.
- Contribute to test planning, test case development, and defect tracking.
- Learn and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers while building strong testing and development skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a QA or SDET role.
- Proficiency in Python with experience using Pytest for test automation.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting (e.g., Bash).
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for learning, automation, and continuous improvement.
Good to have
- Exposure to web development (Flask, Django, React.js).
- Experience testing REST APIs and working with SQL/databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or IBM Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Prior experience with test management tools such as Zephyr
