Overview

This position reports to the DevOps Manager and is responsible the development, testing and deployment of automated CI/CD pipelines supporting Card@Once; a SaaS solution. This position works closely and in partnership with the Card@Once Development and Testing teams to ensure environments are in good working order. The scope of responsibility includes but is not limited to the following technologies: Linux and Windows based operating systems, CI/CD systems, deployment systems, and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot Linux (Redhat/Centos/Debian)
  • Configure and troubleshoot Windows (Server 2008/2012/2016)
  • Work with development and support teams to design improved deployment, provisioning and integration workflows.
  • Assist in the design of multi-server VMWare environments including IP address schemes, DNS, virtual networking
  • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
  • Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support of network related functions and availability 
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Experience with Web API, Restful Services, and WCF Services
  • Experience with industry common automation/deployment solutions, such as Octopus Deploy, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Cfengine, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Nagios, etc.
  • Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment
  • Experience with central authentication platforms, such as Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos/IDM
  • Virtualization experience, ESX/Xen/KVM, etc.
  • General understanding of IP routing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in Agile DevOps environment.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey and document network related dependencies using Visio diagrams
  • Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary

Education/Training/Experience:

  • B.S. Degree in Information Technology or a related field or related real world experience
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Dev/Ops role
