Medical Science Liaison

Wellspect is looking for a Medical Science Liaison with an academic/clinical background, strong communication skills and a commercial mindset. You will be part of our Global Enterology team and influence the quality of life for everyone in need of our products and services.

About the position

As Medical Science Liaison, your main responsibility is to provide expert opinions and support for clinical, medical and scientific questions within the therapy area. Further you will function as a speaking partner in development projects and for existing products. We expect you to develop professional relationships with thought leaders and translate those relationships into business and research opportunities.

A selection of the role activities and responsibilities:

  • Support marketing and sales teams with medical and scientific expertise by developing presentation materials, publications, blog posts and summaries.
  • Interpret and effectively communicate relevant medical and scientific topics and literature both internally and externally.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Support and facilitate medical and scientific communications and publications (abstracts, posters, case studies/series, expert opinions and review articles).
  • Contribute to development of a knowledge base of medical and scientific information driving business of existing products and new product development projects.
  • Provide medical and scientific support for symposiums, advisory board programs, and congresses.
  • Assist clinical researchers in writing abstracts and publications related to Wellspect’s products.
  • Define and evaluate product related medical risks in HHEs, vigilance reports, Post Market Surveillance and Product risk management.
  • Speaking partner and contributor in developing PMCF surveys, Clinical Evaluation and Clinical Investigations.
  • Organize and lead work groups to help a team achieve its goals.

Who you are?

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical skills and an aptitude for explaining complex topics and make them understandable to both laypersons and health care professionals. You will need organize work groups and find common ground while developing content for communication materials, webinars and congresses and scientific meetings. Further, you are a dynamic team player with commercial understanding.

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant medical/scientific degree on MSc level or higher (preferably PhD).
  • More than 3-5 years documented relevant experience where continence care (enterology/urology) is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent English – Swedish preferred.
  • The ability to translate scientific information to communication targeted to laymen, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well within a team and relate to all levels within the company.
  • Effectively managing your time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.

This position is located at our headquarter in Mölndal, Sweden and will involve some travelling to build and maintain relations as well as attending congresses/events.
