Summary:
C&D/ Trojan is seeking a Director, BMS Development (Focused on the core of battery innovation). In this role you are expected to be the subject matter expert in battery design, firmware design, infrastructure, and integration of Lithium-ion batteries. Join our team developing next-generation battery management systems and products.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentors’ a team of electrical and electronics engineers.
- Design, prototype and testing of analog, digital, and microcontroller-based circuits.
- Create Bill of Materials documents.
- Create schematics and drawings using ECAD software tools.
- Use application software and associated hardware relating to PCB layout and microprocessor hardware and firmware development.
- Perform electrical (battery) testing, performance, reliability, and safety.
- Interface with microcontrollers or microprocessors.
- Create product specifications and test plan/ report documents.
- Troubleshoot circuit board issues, electrical testing, and regulations/certifications.
- Create PCB designs and layouts.
- Calculate circuit effects resulting from combined variations of component tolerances, temperature coefficients, and operating conditions.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. MS (preferred).
- 15+ years’ professional experience and 5+ years in management.
- Battery Management Systems Design.
- Electrical current design (AC/DC power).
- C/C++, firmware, and hardware integrations.
