The role

Job Location: North Central

We are seeking a results-driven strategic accounts manager to manage our most important and prestigious accounts. Someone should develop client relationship management strategies, establish strong client relationships, and suggest innovative solutions to meet client needs. You will be managing an existing book of business from across our portfolio, and as such, it’s imperative that you ensure all renewals and reoccurring business is not only maintained but you are also able to upsell and cross-sell our other services in order to add value.

To ensure success as a strategic accounts manager, you should possess extensive sales experience in a related industry. A strategic accounts manager will be someone whose customer-oriented approach and sales expertise result in increased profitability and year-over-year growth within their assigned customer book. Ultimately, an outstanding strategic accounts manager will keep a close eye on clients' feedback to ensure that our products and services always exceed expectations.

The Role

  • Maintaining assigned key accounts and providing ongoing client support.
  • Establishes a strategic account plan aligned with the customer's business and technology strategy in order to expand and grow sales within the account. 
  • Developing and implementing client relationship management strategies
  • Communicating with key clients to monitor client expectations and satisfaction.
  • Identifying new business leads and contacting prospective key clients within your account base to promote products and services
  • Establishing efficient communication channels and liaising between key clients and internal departments
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to the management of key client relationships.
  • Handling client queries and finding innovative solutions for complex problems.
  • Monitoring sales performance metrics and facilitating timely interventions.
  • Prepares sales forecasts and KPI reports according to the requests of the strategic accounts sales leader..
  • Travels as needed to be successful in their role, but is expected to be frequently in front of and active with their account base.

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to the Strategic Sales Account Leader.
  • Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
  • Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
  • Works closely with Sales Operations, the Customer Success Team, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
  • This position may have direct reporting staff assigned to support responsibilities for specific customers.

What we need to see from you

Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with ITAM, app modernization, AWS, Microsoft, and FinOps is ideal.
  • network of connections and recommendations via social platforms (like LinkedIn) that mirrors the experience your resume exclaims
  • Someone with a track record of achieving quotas in the $4M–$5M+ range
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a strategic accounts manager or similar
  • Proficiency in CRM software, such as Salesforce and HubSpot,
  • Experience in B2B sales in a related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of client relationship management strategies.
  • Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Great problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented; entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment with minimum supervision.

Target compensation for this role will be 250–260K USD (mix of base salary and bonus) and will be determined based on candidate qualifications, experience, and location.
