Senior Software Engineer Fullstack 

We are growing our team of Marketing Technologists, based in Budapest, working to create the next generation web architecture to further grow our business. The role is with our Marketing Technology team, which together with our Marketeers and Creatives are building customer facing websites and landing pages to generate and nurture leads for our business across 50+ markets. 

The team is currently working on expanding our personalization efforts for the future with a strong technology focus. Topics we are very passionate about include delivering thousands of webpages at scale, sound architecture, personalized user experiences, enabling our Marketing teams, optimizing for performance, improving efficiency, and testing for success.

Who you are 

• You have a passion for developing and architecting websites and web services with the latest, modern techniques, while ensuring quality by building comprehensive test automation. 
• You are someone who thrives in a collaborative, cooperative environment, and gets excited about trying new technologies and new approaches to enhancing the quality and value of the software we deliver. 
• You have good communication skills in English, to share thoughts and ideas with the team acting in part as a coach/mentor. 
• You are a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication with the team, peers, other teams and senior management. 
• You have a strong drive for excellence in your work, are highly organized, detailed-oriented, thorough, and follow through on commitments. 

What Experience you bring 

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript. 
• Experience with React. 
• Next.js (or Astro, Remix, Nuxt or JAM stack equivalents). 
• Cloud native services and hosting experience in AWS, Azure or GCP. 
• CI/CD pipeline in the web stack to include automated unit/integration testing and security concerns. 
• Full stack experience or ambitions, in order to contribute towards wider technology discussions/decisions. 
• Can demonstrate delivering websites at large scale and/or deployed to a global customer base. 
• Used to work with Agile methodologies. 
• Experience writing automated end to end test frameworks and tooling, preferably with Cypress. 

What else would we really like to see 

We solve a lot of different kinds of problems for our customers, and we rely on a lot of different technologies to get the best answer. We’d love to have you on the team if you also have: 

• Post-secondary training (degree or otherwise) in software development, or equivalent experience. 
• Experience in designing and integration schemas/structures in a CMS, ideally a headless CMS. 
• Developed solutions using AWS services such as Lambdas, API Gateway, Glue, SAM, EKS, and S3. 
• Deep experience in optimising web pages and sites for performance, with an emphasis on Web Vitals. 
• Spent time working to optimise websites for search engines (SEO). 
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. 
• Familiarity in working with and testing asynchronous/streaming messaging technologies such as Kafka. 
• Experience with Typescript
