About the role: 

The Business Analyst, Business Transformation – OTC Commercial reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Transformation—Commercial OTC is a member of the Sales Enablement organization with responsibility to Magellan program. 

The Business Analyst role will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for global transformation of Commercial functionality in the next generation BSC ERP (SAP S/4). This role will support gathering global requirements, harmonizing processes and support the cross functional aspects of build, configuration and testing and migration of the key commercial process.

As a member of the team, you will participate in project(s) following Scaled Agile framework. The Business Analyst represents the Business Users, collaborating with the Magellan workstreams, Strategic Integration vendors, BSC Business Process Leads, Subject Matter Experts, Communities of Practice and other Stakeholders across the BSC organization. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Identify the global functionality required for Key commercial process (including but not limited to Customers, Pricing, Rebates, Commercial Bundling, Sales BOMs, Sales Master Data, Product Hierarchy, Customer Hierarchy) within SAP S/4 while keeping an eye towards future state capabilities in Revenue Management initiatives
  • Represent the business users and stakeholders to define User Requirements
  • Translate User Requirements into User Stories that include the ‘Who, What, Why’ for Acceptance Criteria.
  • Coordinate with the other project workstreams, Capability owners, Strategic Integration Vendors, BSC Business Process Leads (BPLs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Communities of Practice (CoPs), IT Solution Architects/COE and stakeholders across the organization to develop a strong and deep expertise of Product/Capital Order to Cash process flows.
  • Collaborate with the Change Enablement team and Site Leads/BPLs/SMEs to develop training plans and content for key functionality
  • Collaborate with the Magellan Outbound Workstream and the extended Magellan program (Program Management, IT Solution Architects, SAP COE and Magellan Functional Workstreams) in a Scalable Agile Framework/DevOps methodology, to enable rapid deployment.
  • Support a dynamic team that encourages constructive feedback and open dialogue contributing to team members achieving full potential

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science or supply chain related field required.
  • Technical/functional professional or operational experience with SAP Order to Cash in medical device field highly preferred.
  • 3 years Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution processes or SAP Master Data Creation/ Maintenance is required.
  • Knowledge of processes, technology in the life sciences industry very highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of SAP Master Data (Customer Master, Material Master, Sales Master Data) and related processes
  • Previous experience of a major program introduction/upgrade, ideally within an IT/Systems or Business Representative role is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and the broader Application Ecosystem and Interfaces, combined with knowledge of key business processes is preferred.
  • A proven track record of Continuous Improvement, system upgrades/enhancements, proactive problem solving or Lean Business Process.
  • Ability to establish, communicate and engage teams in the vision & strategy of the Magellan Program.
