About the team

The Wireless Connectivity team at Roku is a part of a broader Product Engineering team, and is primarily responsible for all things wireless at Roku: including HW, SW and QA.

About the role

This role entails working closely with other team members in the Wireless Connectivity team for various product related features and releases. In addition, working closely with Product Management team(s) in order to identify key BT/BLE features that need to be designed and incorporated into new products at Roku.

What you will be doing

Help to define new features in BT/BLE that should be a part of Roku products, keep a close watch on BT-SIG developments for new programs and technologies and to work closely to facilitate BT/BLE RF and Certification activities

We’re excited if you have

  • Expertise in C software development in a Linux environment
  • In-depth understanding of Bluetooth protocols and profiles (BR/EDR and BLE)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating system software: kernel, userspace, HCI for Host/FW
  • Expertise in at least one wireless technology (Bluetooth/BLE) is a must
  • Domain knowledge and/or expertise in Wi-Fi and BT/BLE CoExistence is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of BlueZ, Bluedroid and other Open Source Bluetooth stack(s) is a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of RTOS is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and debug interoperability issues between Bluetooth devices
  • Proven track record with embedded system development projects
  • Senior level contributor with significant industry software development experience
