As a Lead Architect in Data & Integration Architecture, you will serve as the technical domain expert on foundational data and integration technologies to better support our business partners and development teams. You will steer technology strategy direction, define target state architectures, roadmaps, and help build reference architectures/implementations. You will also be responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging technologies beneficial to this domain. You will play a significant role in mentoring and supporting architects and delivery teams on projects and initiatives across Capital.

We work with our business partners and the rest of IT to plan, design, enable and mature the capabilities needed for Capital Group to accomplish our mission of delivering superior, long-term investment results and high-quality service.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • You have demonstrated ability in defining, designing, and delivering enterprise-scale data strategies and data management solutions leveraging sound architecture principles, approaches, and patterns.
  • You have at least 10 years of deep architecture and engineering experience with expertise in: relational and NoSQL databases, data warehouse, big data/data lake, master data management, data modelling, data quality and governance, data engineering, BI reporting and analytics, data science, ML/AI, Python, Spark, AWS, and Azure.
  • You have demonstrated experience building highly scalable solutions using Cloud database technologies
  • You are current on and have applied knowledge of modern application, data, and integration architectures including domain driven design, event-driven, event streaming / streaming processing, service-based/APIs, lakehouse, data mesh, data fabric, etc.
  • You proactively research, assess, and recommend new and emerging trends including appropriate implementation patterns and standards.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate and present compelling content to guide strategic decisions.
  • You have the ability to collaborate, partner with, and effectively influence architects and engineers to adopt/adhere to enterprise standards and deliver well-architected data-centric solutions.
  • You have prior experience in financial services industry/asset management space (preferred).

 

Southern California Base Salary Range: $187,370-$299,792

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
