Introduction

As the Senior Secure DevOps Architect, you will be a key player in designing and implementing secure DevOps architectures for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps principles, security best practices, and strong architectural skills to ensure the delivery of robust, efficient, and secure solutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Architectural Design: Lead the design and development of secure DevOps architectures, ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry best practices, and security standards.

Security Integration: Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security seamlessly into DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated security controls.

Toolchain Selection: Evaluate, recommend, and implement DevSecOps tools and technologies, ensuring they align with client goals and security objectives.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement secure IaC practices using tools such as Terraform or Ansible, ensuring the automated and secure provisioning of infrastructure.

Containerization and Orchestration: Design and implement secure containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

Threat Modeling: Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential security risks in software architectures and DevOps workflows, providing guidance on mitigation strategies.

Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique challenges and providing strategic guidance on secure DevOps implementations.

Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior architects and DevOps teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior architect role with a focus on secure DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and infrastructure automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with security tools and practices for DevOps environments, such as static and dynamic code analysis.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive innovation.
  • Fluent in English
