The Opportunity
MSH is seeking a Director of Finance & Administration for the anticipated 5-year USAID Malaria Vector Control Activity designed to identify and implement proven, evidence-based vector control approaches in Tanzania, in support of reducing the overall malaria burden, and moving Tanzania closer to malaria elimination.
This position is subject to project award and funding.
About your role as Director: Finance and Administration (DFA)
Our DFAs work closely with the project leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief of Party, they provide financial management and operations leadership, as well as contract and grant management support. They collaborate with the Chief of Party to ensure that project activities and management operations are implemented as per MSH mission, values, policies, standard operating procedures, and local laws and regulations, and to safeguard MSH's financial, contractual, and political integrity.
Never losing sight of the project goals, our DFAs take our value of accountability to the next level! They are entrusted with implementing financial and operational functions that support the timely and effective implementation of the technical scope of work and provide counsel to help project leadership ensure that resources are allocated and used in compliance with contractual requirements, applicable regulations, and appropriate standards and procedures.
How will YOU accomplish this?
As the Director: Finance and Administration you will be expected to provide authoritative leadership on all budget, expenditure monitoring, financial reporting and contract matters to ensure timely and effective implementation of the program's activities in Tanzania. This includes oversight of procurement, grants, construction, logistics, human resources, accounting and finance, and records. You will be responsible for managing the contract budget and preparing financial reports for submission to USAID. You will ensure funds expended are compliant with US Government regulations and policies and implement fraud mitigation practices and ensure systems and processes are implemented effectively to support implementation of the award.
