As a Senior Project Manager at Quantis you will: 

  • Develop credible, trusted relationships with senior client project contacts in the Food & Beverage sector in Germany 
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects including significant projects at key account level 
  • Advocate for project / scope / team / budget in face of client demands 
  • Actively manage sales support with strategists on key account opportunities 

You will be successful in your role if you: 

  • Are seen as an effective project team leader 
  • Can credibly explain standard Quantis offerings (LCA, footprinting, target setting, roadmap design, strategy development...) and their interdependencies to client team, stakeholders in the Food & Beverage sector and other sectors as needed 
  • Master traditional project management methodologies with a good understanding of alternate PM methodologies 
  • Reliably deliver time / cost / budget while also protecting team workloads

DOES THIS DESCRIBE YOU AND YOUR NEXT ROLE? 

  • You’re motivated to put your technical expertise to work towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries. 
  • For 5+ years you’ve been sharpening your skills and technical expertise in a professional setting, ideally with some experience in the consulting and private sector. 
  • You have strong project management skills (incl. waterfall management and agile project management) and can organise workload, project streams and priorities to deliver in a timely manner. 
  • You have the capacity to listen to client needs to create and communicate creative and adapted solutions.
  • You have a good understanding of the Food & Beverage sector in Germany and a good network.
  • You’re motivated for teamwork and able to integrate and work with a diverse team, including a range of scientific and creative profiles.
  • You believe in the power of science and get excited about guiding companies to understand and design transformative and science-based strategy.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You communicate effectively in fluent English. German would be a plus.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to coach, teach, and mentor others with your knowledge and skills, in an academic and/or corporate setting. 

AS A SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, HERE’S A PREVIEW OF WHAT TYPE OF WORK YOUR DAYS WILL INCLUDE: 

Manage and deliver client project work related to Food & Beverage sector: 

  • Deliver and support F&B projects and other sector projects, as needed, with a strong focus on metrics-based methodological development 
  • Manage all aspects of client projects from project scoping to crafting solutions to developing high-standard, timely deliverables, ensure project profitability and efficiency 
  • Build, develop and manage efficient and balanced consultant projects teams 
  • Proactively identify, communicate and autonomously resolve project risks 
  • Recognize and fill skill / knowledge gaps in project team, identify process or system improvements that could improve project team effectiveness 
  • Build and nurture optimal and trustful client and industry relationships, explaining standard Quantis offerings and their interdependencies to client team and stakeholders 

Support business development efforts: 

  • Develop and manage existing and new client relations across the Food & Beverage sector 
  • Coordinate communications and marketing strategies and actions, including meeting prospects, writing proposals and presenting to potential clients 
  • Proactively identify further sales opportunities at active clients 
  • Lead sales process for standard offerings at non-key accounts 
  • Provide reliable proposal review 

SOME OTHER DETAILS TO CONSIDER:

  • Berlin (preferred) or home office with flexibility to be based in another region (regular visits to the Berlin office would be required)
  • Optimal start date: As soon as possible
  • Frequent collaboration with other Quantis branches (France, Italy, Switzerland, USA) via web-conferences
  • Ability to travel occasionally
