You will assist end users, contractors, and engineers with specification development, system design and product selection assistance, and field technical support for Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, & HVAC applications and their associated plumbing/HVAC systems in Commercial and Industrial market segments and Data Center, EV Battery, & Semiconductor verticals. You will also provide classroom and field training to support accurate product selection, installation and operation. This position is remote and will report to the National Sales Manager.

You Will:

  • Responsible for daily technical field support and troubleshooting for Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, & HVAC applications and their associated plumbing systems in Commercial and Industrial market segments and Data Center & Semiconductor verticals
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and field assistance for installation, commissioning, operation and field repair
  • Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to our sales agents, end-users, engineering firms, and contractors with regards to product selection and the creation of technical/ master specifications that call out the use of Watts products and solutions
  • Develop long-term relationships with end-users, customers, contractors and engineers to guide specifications
  • Create and deliver classroom and hands on training programs for end users, contractors, engineers and our sales agents relative to device specification, selection, installation, use, and troubleshooting. This includes counter training programs for wholesale channel partners
  • Develop an understanding of industry and local/ national plumbing codes that govern the selection, use, and operation of Watts products within the Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, and HVAC applications and their associated plumbing/HVAC systems
  • Attend Industry Standards Committees, Trade Shows, and other key industry events to represent Watts and our products in the marketplace
  • Understand customer needs by market segments and the competitive landscape
  • Provide input to marketing, product management, and engineering to support new product development and services offering
  • Work with cross-functional teams to achieve product line objectives
  • Lead the development, implementation, and realization of projects established by management
  • Be the voice of the customer and promote customer centric mindset
  • Escalate delays and roadblocks to resolve conflicts before they impact execution and delivery
  • Make recommendations to improve existing processes or suggest new processes to improve quality and on-time delivery
  • Work directly with corresponding National Sales Manager and alongside Watts Sales team, agent network and channel partners to strengthen Watts Water Technologies market position

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / equivalent field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical and field sales environments.
  • 3+ years in flow control industry with ability to understand valve and actuation applications or related level of understanding of fluid mechanics
  • A working understanding of hydronic cooling, process piping, HVAC & actuation valves within Commercial & Industrial plumbing, HVAC and Industrial process industry
  • A customer-centric mindset
  • Strong Project management skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects
  • Experience responding to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities and issues in all functional areas
  • Oral, written, electronic and telecommunications skills.
  • Intimate knowledge of people management and conflict resolution skills
  • The flexibility to travel 70% of the time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
