Digital for Altea Airlines R&D aims at defining and developing e-Commerce and front-office solutions, for airlines reservation & ticketing offices, call centers and self-service check-in. The portfolio of products is quite extensive, from standard ready-to-use products to highly customized ones, also encompassing serviceable platform and mobile solutions with multi-channel and cross-devices capabilities.

Our product

Within this entity, our team oversees the development of the new UI community product: Reference Experience RefX. This new UI perfectly replies to the strong requirement of airlines to have a high level of freedom to customize our products. RefX is highly configurable and customizable to ensure it can adapt to different airline’s needs, it is built using modern technologies like Angular, Redux, RxJS and integrated with Adobe Experience Manager as the Content Management System (CMS). It is a single page application consuming the digital REST API Digital Commerce booking engine. It is already powering more than 20 airlines in production for their booking flow, and 30 for the self-service check-in flow. By 2026, it will support more than 100+ airlines once they all migrated from previous product DX to RefX.

We are working with Scrum and SAFe frameworks; you would be integrated in the system team of the Digital Touchpoints Train aka “Blue Train”. The team is a cross-site team between NCE (2) and BLR (3) composed of principal engineers and senior developers working with the guidance of the train architect.

Main responsibilities

As part of the system team, you will have three main activities:

1. You will work on improving the developer experience (local environment and Azure DevOps pipeline), the application stability, performance, and security, but also participating to technical migration of external libraries, provide guidance on coding and refactoring to the train feature teams. You will also suggest evolution of the product and make recommendations on how to manage the debt of the code to the train architect.

2. RefX is following the Nevio project to ensure that it is compatible with the new Offer and Order Management System. You will work in collaboration with the WoW train to ensure that each delivery of the project can be used with RefX and make any change induced by Nevio.

3. RefX is also providing key innovative features to ensure that we are providing the best-in-class solution to airlines. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, we would like to provide generative AI landing page to airlines that would include content generated by an AI and reviewed by an airline agent mixed with some core RefX components such as the search component to launch the RefX booking flow. You will oversee the architecture to build this new airline landing page and develop any new component needed. This

About the ideal candidate:

  • Frontend development skills.
  • Knowledge of web technologies: Typescript; HTML / CSS; Framework: Angular; Libraries RxJS, NgRx; Unit tests: Karma, Jasmine.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure/Jenkins pipelines.
  • Experience with migrating an angular application from version n to n+1 and libraries impact.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability to fast changing environment.
