Overview

This job contributes to REI’s success by Maximizing enterprise-wide talent programs for the business. The director will lead teams focused on the implementation and maximization of existing talent programs to the organization, inclusive of programs that support Learning, Leadership Development, Talent planning, Performance Management, and Career Development. This role will work on programs included in the HR Portfolio containing all HR products, projects and services aligned on building competency, skills and ensuring a strong workforce for the future. All of our talent work is in support to identify additional capabilities and skills that are needed while working to optimize the workforce on the journey to becoming a fully inclusive, anti-racist, multicultural organization on our path to grow our 20 million-member community to 50 million by 2030.

Your Planning & Navigating Requirements

  • Lead a team of program managers responsible for Talent program optimization at the Join/Exit, Perform or Develop phases of the Employee Lifecycle.
  • Apply sound change mgmt. principles and techniques to ensure people product usability and sustainment.
  • Maintain a close pulse on all end-users to ensure readiness for people program launches or enhancements.
  • Use anecdotal data and metrics to make program decisions for employees based on usage and needs.
  • Teach HR and users on best ways to optimize tools and programs.
  • Ensure REDI (Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) principles anchored in equity and fair access are built into product maximization and prioritization.
  • Be well-versed on a variety of HR and Talent programs including Talent Planning, Development, Learning, Performance Management and Assessment to name a few.
  • Sense employee needs, capture feedback and maintain improvement backlog for future releases to increase customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • 10+ years experience in Talent Planning, Talent Management, Talent Programs, HR Operations, HR Programs
  • 6 years managing a team
  • 2 years experience in retail
  • Experience in consultation with executives; demonstrated ability to communicate (influence, present data) at executive level. 
  • Experience in Organizational Culture, Values, and experience.
  • Experience developing programs across the employee lifecycle
  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, consulting skills and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
  • Experience in Business Consulting supporting HR functions
  • Ability to work across teams in and outside of HR and across levels
  • Strong perspective around areas of Organizational Effectiveness, learning, performance, and Development
  • Builds rapport with all kinds of people inside and outside the organization. 
  • Experience working in Agile methodology.
  • Acts upon opportunities and involves and influences others in the accomplishment of worthwhile organizational goals.
  • Experience managing and administering talent platforms including partnership with Tech teams and vendors to evolve products and systems
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change.
  • Basic experience in Learning and Development principles, Instructional design, or training strategy

Base Pay Range

USD $137,500.00 - USD $233,900.00 /Yr.
