Job Description

  • Maintain Azure China cloud infrastructure as extended CCOE resource.
  • Support cloud (Azure China) onboarding for innovation teams including subscription setup, IAM onboarding, pipeline setup, infra provisioning guidance, etc.
  • Provides cloud infrastructure and application support by monitoring/troubleshooting Incidents/Problems and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide technical leadership for utilizing standard patterns/templates, reference architectures, and technologies as defined, to provision & automate support processes, in order to increase speed of delivery.
  • Provide expert technical leadership & stable operational support for workloads in the cloud (specifically Azure), ensuring adherence to the overarching IT Cloud Architecture, and delivery of new designs.
  • Use technical skills to identify & recommend opportunities for optimization and automation to drive down cloud and operational costs.
  • Manage and govern cloud infrastructure for local cloud setup in GM China
  • Understand new capabilities and services from various Cloud providers and be able to define deployment and security standards for those services.
  • Assist in standing up new cloud instances and adding new features and capabilities.
  • Improve developer and innovation team user experience via automation and platform engineering practices.
  • Provision, maintain and update cloud infrastructure for SDV cloud platform in China.

Requirements

You’re required to have the following skills:

  • Hands-on experience in designing, implementing and operating cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, Aliyun, etc)
  • Hands-on software development via application development, SRE, DevOps engineering, systems
  • Proficient in a development or scripting language such as Python, Bash, Java, Golang, etc.
  • Strong understanding of technology design patterns and approaches
  • A track record of managing innovation, developing and applying creative solutions to business problems, anticipating situations and needs, and finding flexible answers to new situations.
  • Designing and implementation of cloud governance policies
  • Knowledge and working experience with CAF, Landing Zones, and Guardrails (IAM, Policy, etc.)
  • Proficient in infrastructure as code tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, YAML pipelines, Bicep, Terraform, Puppet.
  • Knowledge and exposure of networking – TCP/IP and DNS
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of interfacing with both engineers and business stakeholders
  • Cooperate with other infra teams like Network and Identity Team to bring our platform to a higher level.
  • Deep skills on Kubernetes design principles e.g. Operator framework, etc.
  • Experience working with containerized applications and deployment using Kubernetes, Docker
  • Experience with Automation Frameworks – Terraform and Ansible
  • You speak English fluently (written and spoken).

Also, we expect that:

  • If you have knowledge of security and compliance in the automotive sector is a big plus.
  • Experience to work as GitOps.
  • You have hands-on experience with creating CICD pipelines for the Azure Infrastructure with different technologies: Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • You have hands-on experience in developing Single Page Applications (SPA) with vuejs, reactjs or Angularjs.

Qualifications

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
  • Five (5) years working with Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS is also a plus)
  • Five (5) years working to architect, design, develop automation solutions in IaaS/PaaS
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree plus 10+ years of Technology related experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in technology or a related field
  • 5+ years working as a Cloud developer, Cloud Ops, DevOps or SRE engineer.
