Responsibilities

Formulate and oversee the organization's planning, policies and practices in collaboration with executive leadership.

  • Participate in development of the organization's vision, policies and short and long-term objectives.
  • Develop, implement and monitor operating budgets for areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recommends cost effective and efficient solutions.
  • Serve as liaison between Board of Directors, executive leadership, management, stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to the development of a regionally integrated system of care and successfully perform the requirements of the position with a matrixed work environment.
  • Create a sustainable person-centered culture that assures patients can access the care needed and when they want it. Develop provider leadership structure aligned with the national Ascension Medical Group structure that brings physician leaders to discuss issues that impact physician practices and barriers to greater alignment of physicians across the care continuum.
  • Lead efforts to create a culture of quality and safety consistent with a highly reliable organization.
  • Ensure development of physician leaders including development and preparation of the next generation of physician leaders.
  • Provide ongoing education to medical staff leadership regarding administrative, regulatory and legal issues that surround healthcare reform and the evolving medical crew paradigm at the state and national level.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 5 of
  • those years being in leadership/management.
