The Business Intelligence Analyst for Brightview Senior Living will gather, analyze and model data to provide timely flow of business intelligence information to end users. Brightview is a growing, privately- held company based out of Baltimore, MD that owns, develops and manages over 47 high-end Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in 8 states throughout the Mid- Atlantic, New York Metro and New England markets.

Based in our Baltimore office (hybrid), this role will evaluate our existing systems, participate in requirements gathering, and assist in the design and implementation of business intelligence.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will maintain database security, integrity and performance of Microsoft's Power BI system. They will extract, integrate, consolidate and manage data from disparate sources. As data is collected they will validate and perform data profiling to understand anomalies. 

The BI Analyst will create and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards and tools. Additionally, they will provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards and cloud environment, and will maintain a library of model documents, templates and other reusable knowledge assets. 

Responsibilities

What will you be doing : 

• Analyze company applications, programming, and operations; evaluate existing systems and assist in designing and implementing strategies for business intelligence and data gathering.
• Maintain database security, integrity, and performance. 
• Participate in requirements gathering.
• Extract, integrate, consolidate, and manage data from various sources.
• Review and validate data as it’s collected; perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
• Create business intelligence reports, dashboards, and tools, including design of related databases.
• Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
• Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, and cloud environment.
• Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
• Complete special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Why we want you on our Team: 

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Business Intelligence Systems; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Proficient in T-SQL preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Microsoft Power BI, portfolio samples a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure preferred.
• Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
• A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
• Ability to apply reason, logic, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with strict deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
