Your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for spending and cost development vs market development on the Total cost of ownership base, for leading EM sourcing activities with defined targets in the BU/HUB category and managing targeted products leading and scouting, initial maturity assessment for new Potential EM suppliers, and regularly proposing new EM sourcing opportunities to various HUBs/ Category teams and lead negotiations with EM suppliers by setting targets by BU/HUB Category managers. Promote emerging market sourcing activities where it brings additional value.
  • You will be responsible for negotiation and contracting managing/Running tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable, manage/Lead spend negotiation for selected suppliers and allocate volume.
  • You will be responsible for cost control processes by improving on tender and project material costing, run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable, cost structure analysis for the main EM category, to identify the cost-competitive category & negotiation. You will be responsible for supply base management by overseeing the supplier relationship with regular review of contract execution, supply performance, improvement activities, and future.
  • You will lead supplier qualification for the ones in scope and perform risk assessment, assessment of the development potential of suppliers with EM SQE for cost, technical, and quality, based on performance data, evaluate, define, and monitor improvement measures for selected suppliers. You will be responsible for leading/coordinating Projects within the EM team, work closely with other functions to Initiate, promote, and support projects and bring value to the total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, quality, cash, lead time, and material availability.
  • You will adherence of SCM Tools/processes: apply and implement SCM standards, tools, and processes in the area of responsibility. You will be responsible for leading a global team of SCM specialists and SQEs and creating a strong team environment to supply quality and development managing activities.
  • You will be responsible for supplier qualification, supplier assessment (On-site Audits) leading the planning, execution of required supplier on-site audits including assessment reporting, and corrective action plan alignment with the suppliers. You will be responsible for planning/coordinating/executing the required production part approval activities for the new supplier parts/materials including the coordination of trial parts and first article inspection activities.
  • You will be responsible for leading the non-conformity resolution process with the suppliers in case of escalated technical issues with customers, for supplier Performance Monitoring and consolidating the supplier delivery and quality KPIs, the critical non-conformities escalated from the factories, for supplier Performance Improvement by leading the supplier performance improvement actions for the targeted suppliers (following DMAIC and/or 8D methodology). You will be responsible for leading/coordinating special quality and continuous improvement projects such as Advanced Product Quality Planning, Lean Six Sigma, supplier manuals, etc. in line with the yearly BU SQ targets.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant in Category Management and/or Supplier Quality and Development field in the transformer, automotive or other similar industries.
  • Previous experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation and contracting, tender management, cost control, and supply base management.
  • Experience with some of the following production processes: metal fabrication, sheet metal processing, machining, casting, conductor production, or surface protection.
  • Experience working with Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement practices (e.g., Kaizen, DMAIC, A3, 8D, 5Why Analysis, etc.
  • Proven experience with process audits, PPAP, P-FMEA, Process Control Plan, Statistical Process Control, and inspection test plan creation.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to create a collaborative environment for accomplishing project objectives.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & and written English language is required.
