Job Description

Do you want to become a part of our global company? Are you eager to kickstart your career and learn alongside our Test Engineers? This entry-level position, which is field-based and involves daily travel within the metropolitan area, will help you thrive.

After full training, you will be responsible, but not limited to: 

• Prepare and maintain the tools necessary for the examination and testing of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems.
• Ensure that all testing and calibration is carried out in a safe, professional and ethical manner.
• Assist the Project Manager Traffic Systems with regard to the Traffic Systems division.
• Ensure Traffic Management is implemented to meet all HSE guidelines.
• Prepare a written report of results, assessments and observations obtained from testing.
• Maintain accurate record of the time spent testing road safety enforcement technology equipment for the inclusion in the laboratory's monthly report and for determining the testing schedule of fees.

Qualifications

SGS will provide you with comprehensive training. As a successful candidate, you should possess:

• An educational background in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Prior work experience is not necessary.
• Understanding of measurement and testing techniques related to road safety enforcement technology and the use of test equipment (highly desirable).
• Strong technical verbal and written skills.
• Availability to drive and work in the field as required within the metropolitan area.
• Possession of a current and valid Victorian driver's license.
