Your Role and Responsibilities

• We are looking for an energized self starter to provide z/OS technical leadership with our Financial Transaction Manager offerings. You will be working as a z/OS Technical Lead and a Project Manager within a global team, reporting to Local and International Development Management. You will be primarily responsible for z/OS Technical tasks such as Z/OS deployment of our FTM Base Offering, monitoring z/OS DB2 stats via Omegamon reports, monitoring z/OS disk and CPU utilization via RMF/WLM reports, assisting our QA/Performance teams analyze/resolve technical issues. You will also be responsible for driving the project/release management aspects of the z/OS offerings, and working closely with the other releases leads as needed to ensure successful deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring of z/OS DB2 databases, disks, CPUs and memory during testing phases
• Deploying z/OS offerings in prep for dev/testing activities
• Project Manager of z/OS deliverables, take on z/OS Scrum-Lead for dev/QA squad. Provide input into planning and manage status tracking
• Drive QA/Performance Technical z/OS issues

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Self-Starter and able to multitask
• z/OS Deployment skills (PTFs, Offerings)
• Understanding of DB2 and Omegamon Reports
• Understanding of RMF/WLM Reports
• Project Management experience
• Experience with end to end software design, development, test experience
• Java, J2EE development experience
• Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving / debugging
• Familiar with agile development methodologies
• Excellent oral and written communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Containerized application development/deployment – e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker.
• IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) experience
• IBM MQ / JMS understanding and experience desirable.
• Familiar with Git source control system
• Experience with Java/Eclipse development environments
