RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement or execute new and current processes and procedures that aid in the efficiency of managing and expanding the IT hybrid infrastructure.
  • Perform research, analysis, and implementation of software patches or hardware changes needed for security or server-related deficiencies.
  • Evaluate and test new products, services, and internal tools.
  • Champion and drive the configuration and maintenance of mission-critical servers and services.
  • Monitor existing systems to ensure constant availability of IT services.
  • Provide support, mentorship, and technical direction to IT administrators and IT support specialists
  • Ensure all IT services are properly maintained and upgraded, including anti-virus, backups, imaging, and patching.
  • Drives organizational and technical change and new additions to the services catalog.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of new projects, standards, & tools, such as automated scripts and tooling, to enhance Team efficiency, performance, and security.
  • Oversee on-premises Active Directory environment involving maintenance, GPOs, file server permissions, backup, and recovery.
  • Provides guidance/input to management and leads cloud architecture reviews.
  • Directs the planning and implementation of new IT Infrastructure capabilities.
  • Ensures all systems are designed and implemented following Hotwire standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements (security, resilience, scalability, efficiency, etc.)
  • Collaborate across the company to understand changing business needs and communicate IT Team initiatives based on business requirements.
  • Develops points of view on emerging infrastructure application technologies (e.g. Elastic, Solar Winds, VMWare Vsphere, VEEAM, WSUS, Azure AD, M365, Intune, etc.) and evaluates their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
  • Understands successes and failures in the marketplace to guide the firm's IT strategy better.
  • Develop and implement new infrastructure products and standards of operations throughout the technology organization.
  • Develop and document the proposed technical/infrastructure design for integrating and implementing new solutions, working across the IT department.
  • Supports vendor relationships in all related technologies so that services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Recommends process improvements to peers and leadership.
  • Completes architectural assessments and unbiased analysis of critical decisions within projects, including impact on systems, timelines, and other key variables.
  • Supports communication strategies that will guide the organization to standard technologies or create new standards as development needs arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential functions satisfactorily. The

requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering or related field, or related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing, integrating, and managing complex IT infrastructure solutions
  • Proficient in architecture/design and implementation of workloads in cloud and hybrid cloud environments (resilience, compliance, security).
  • Experience with Microsoft Server platforms and technologies; Windows Server 2012-2016, VMware ESXi, vSphere,
  • Exchange Server, SQL Server, IIS Web Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, File/Print Server administration, Storage and
  • Software Defined technologies
  • Experience with VMware vSphere 6.0 and up
  • In-depth knowledge of the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack
  • Knowledge of backup applications (Veeam, Barracuda, Commvault, etc.)
  • In depth knowledge of enterprise system monitoring tools s such as Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of system administration tools such as Intune, Tanium, SCCM, WSUS
  • In-depth knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory etc..
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including experience with intrusion detection, firewalls, antivirus software, patch, and vulnerability management.
