Summary

The Storeroom Team Leader reports to the Storeroom Group Leader and is responsible for overseeing storeroom administrators daily activities, organization and stock control ensuring appropriate and efficient inventory control practices.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Maintain inventory control and develop reports.
  • Manage storeroom administrators (3 plants)
  • 5S and safety
  • Projects

Your profile

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

  • Ensure completion of monthly cycle count
  • Verify accuracy of inventory and conduct investigations of off inventory
  • Maintain daily contact with storeroom administrators and resolve employee issues.
  • Develop and maintain organization and layout of storeroom.
  • Plan, assign, and distribute work, according to Group Leaders priorities.

Standards of Performance

  • Keeps storeroom organized, clean and according to 5S standards.
  • Keep inventory accuracy by managing cycle counts.
  • Manage administrators daily activities and cover for absences.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient in English Language
  • Ability to lead and manage others
  • Walking in a manufacturing setting with multiple stairs and inclines

Qualifications

  • Education/Credentials/Certifications/Length of Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates degree or 5 years experience in related field.
  • A combination of over 5 years of directly related education, training, and/or experience is desired for this position.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience with inventory control.
  • Excellent oral and written language ability.
  • Basic accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent reasoning and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage others.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Forklift certification and crane operator certification.
