Purpose and Job Summary

ORIX USA’s Growth Capital team, the firm’s growth lending division, is seeking to hire an Analyst for their investment team. This role will work in concert with the investment team to develop investment theses, conduct due diligence, finance and structure investments and manage completed investments.

The position will be hybrid and there is flexibility between our offices in (i) San Francisco, CA (ii) Seattle, WA (iii) New York, NY (iv) Dallas, TX. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and filter prospective investments within targeted industries.
  • Provide full analytic support of new and on-going business deals, which includes due diligence and data collection, ensuring accuracy and validity of supplied information.
  • Evaluate industry dynamics and market conditions through industry research and meetings with research analysts, customers, channel partners, and management teams.
  • Analyze company’s financial performance, including operational performance and key performance indicators.
  • Create financial models and communicate key variables and risks with the team.
  • Synthesize findings, develop investment theses, and articulate recommendations to Senior Management
  • Prepare term sheets, credit applications and associated approval documentation.
  • Assist in portfolio monitoring and management for closed transactions, including monitoring, quarterly reporting, and performance analyses at the individual and portfolio level.
  • Establish strong working relationships with other team members, operate effectively with minimal oversight while meeting tight timelines.
  • Assist as needed with other assignments and in outside business development efforts.

Education, Skills & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a degree in finance, economics, or related field with a 3.5 minimum GPA
  • Strong desire and ability to learn.
  • Up to two years of experience in technology-centric venture capital, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or related fields with relevant internship
  • Prior direct investing/investment banking or lending/credit experience preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on experience creating financial models and supporting all phases of financial planning, including forecasting, reporting, and analytics is required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Sound business judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; ability to adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Annual base salary gross: $85,000 - $105,000. (NY only) The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA's total compensation package for employees.
