The GSP (Global Sourcing & Procurement) team supports the AXA XL Operations by providing sourcing and Procurement services to the whole AXA XL organization (65 entities 25 countries). GSP is currently on an important transformation journey aiming to put in place all the key Procurement processes & tools to cover all the value chain of GSP, such as P2P (Procurement to pay, Contract management (Contract In), Vendor management, spend management… In that context, we are looking for a Data analyst. The role will be strategic in the GSP organization.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Relevant experience in the field of Business Intelligence. Expérience with the Power BI tool is a must.
  • Proficient with Power BI development, deployment & Maintenance.
  • Expert in transforming data using tools like Excel, Python, and SQL.
  • Proficiency with Excel is a must.
  • Well versed with DBMS concepts – Star/snowflake schema, Data Modeling.
  • Understanding ELT tools like Azure, and Alteryx will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with some of the applications like Coupa, SAP, and Salesforce.
  • Understanding of Data Science Concepts like SARIMA, Regression, and PCA.
  • Power Automation and SharePoint development experience will be a plus.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective problem-solving ability:

o Ability to structure a problem statement and propose a path to resolve.

o Generate insights from the data.

o Proactively anticipate typical data quality / ‘usability’ issues (e.g., exhaustiveness of the data, comparability of periods/scopes, currency conversion…).

  • Good understanding of financial / budgeting/procurement process and data types/requirements (e.g., general ledger accounts, transaction-level data of different types, and categories…).
  • Good ability to synthesize / package data insights to facilitate easier communication with stakeholders and support decision-making.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Autonomous, self-driving, follows-up.
  • Good ability to work plan and ability to meet deadlines / manage time effectively.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders up to mid-managerial level (e.g. finance, budget owner delegates, category managers).
  • Ability to adapt priorities dynamically depending on business/stakeholder demands and urgency.
  • Good understanding of all Procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, Vendor Management…).
  • Complex problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent English written/verbal skillset for business communications/meetings with internal/external stakeholders.
