Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney seeks a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to support Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities as part of the Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) organization. The EDSI organization is a multi-functional group that provides system level engineering solutions to meet customer requirements. The MBSE discipline follows a methodological approach to support the development of complex systems through the requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation phases.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support requirement management, systems, and design integration activities.
  • Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills to solve problems and the ability to work at an implementation level.
  • Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area.
  • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2 years of systems engineering or aerospace experience, or an Advanced Degree in Engineering with GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Travel is up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of knowledge of Thermodynamics, Fluids Mechanics, gas turbine engines.
  • 2 years with Agile frame work.
  • 2 years using C++, Python, MATLAB or VBA programming.
  • 1 year of experience in Model Based System Engineering.
  • 1 year of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler or equivalent software, Magic Grid, DoDAF, UAF, etc.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
